Big Island Exotic car Rental wants to make sure your driving experience is a safe and fun adventure. The following terms and conditions apply to all vehicles and may be modified at the sole discretion of Big Island Exotic Car Rental.
Age and Driving Record Requirements
All renters must be at least 21 years old. Some of our higher end cars you will need to be at least 25 years old. You will need a credit card, which is used as your deposit. You will need to show us a valid driver's license with photograph, no major moving violations, including DUI/DWI, and proof of insurance when you come to pick up your car. Some cars have a surcharge for renters under 25 years old.
We reserve the right to refuse/postpone rental due to severe weather, past driving record or any other reason that may jeopardize your safety as well as that of the vehicle.
Insurance
All renters must carry their own full-coverage comprehensive liability and physical damage (500/500) auto insurance, with rental coverage that extends to our vehicles. Proof of insurance and evidence of sufficient coverage must be provided. If you have lower amounts or need assistance with your auto insurance, please contact us. We work everyday with insurance companies to confirm coverage.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers must be authorized and meet the same requirements as the primary driver. Each additional driver must complete a rental application and must provide evidence of insurance and/or be included in the primary driver’s insurance coverage.

Reservation Deposit
To confirm your reservation, Big Island Exotic Car Rental will charge your credit card 100% of the total rental agreement
Return Policy
Big Island Exotic Car Rental will return all payments made if our company is not able to deliver the desired vehicle on the desired date.
Vehicle Care
To maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the interior and exterior of our vehicles, please adhere to the following restrictions: Absolutely no smoking and no eating or drinking inside the vehicle. Also, our vehicles cannot be driven on any
unpaved surfaces, especially lava. Please treat these rare cars with the same care and consideration as if you owned it. Drive safe and please do not drink and drive.
Pets
If the vehicle comes back with pet dirt or odor, A minimum cleaning fee of $150 will be deducted from your security deposit for cleaning and deodorizing the vehicle.
Payment Methods
VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. Personal & Business Checks are not accepted.
Fuel Requirements
Every rental vehicle is delivered to the customer with a full tank of Premium grade (93+ octane) gasoline. The customer is not required to return the car with a full tank; however, if you do need to refuel during your driving experience, all vehicles MUST be refueled with Premium grade gasoline. A $500 charge will be assessed if a lesser grade is used.
Prohibited Uses
All rental vehicles are prohibited from the following uses:
- Cannot be used in any illegal activity
- Cannot be driven by anyone unlicensed to drive, or who has a suspended, revoked, or otherwise restricted license
- Cannot be used for hire, or to transport people or property for hire
- Cannot be driven on any racetrack or any road course; cannot be involved in any drag racing, “autocrossing,” or participate in any speed racing or track event of any type
- Cannot be driven on any unpaved surface especially lava
- Cannot be used in any promotional activities without prior approval
All vehicles are equipped with GPS devices and can be used to pinpoint the exact location of the car at any time. If the vehicle is used in any prohibited manner, Big Island Exotic Car Rental has the ability to remotely disable the vehicle. In this case, the entire rental fee is forfeited to Big Island Exotic Car Rental and the additional cost of retrieving, towing and otherwise obtaining the vehicle will be applied to the renter’s security deposit.
Damage Deposit
Before vehicle pick-up/delivery, a damage deposit in the form of a credit card preauthorization will be required. When the vehicle is returned, any assessed damage will first be billed against this deposit. If the vehicle is returned in its original undamaged condition, the damage deposit will not be charged. Authorization is from $1000-$10,000 depending on vehicle.
Tickets
Big Island Exotic Car Rental is not responsible for any parking, speeding, traffic or any other violations issued while the vehicle is rented. The renter is responsible for all infractions as well as paying any penalties, towing or impound costs, or other costs that are incurred due to the renter’s negligence.
Mileage
Unlimited mileage included for all vehicles at no additional cost.
